Dynalite have a lot of features to benefit the needs of the customer. The advanced time scheduling enables pre-defined system state changes such as lights on/ off or sensor enable/ disable, as well as dimming levels to occur automatically at set times or at a variable time relative to sunrise and sunset. It has a live monitor that displays the energy consumption data and a report manager allowing the system to generate reports for hardware status, energy consumption and DALI emergency lighting performance. This can report accurate reporting of the energy usage. The multipurpose sensors include occupancy detection which can set to turn off or dim down an area once it has be unoccupied for a specified length of time. The multipurpose sensors are also what detect the light level, which allows different areas to adjust accordingly delivering the best result to energy saving for the building or house.

Philips Dynalite wants customers to enjoy the approach that no two lighting systems are the same and that every lighting installation should be tailored to the best of what the customers require. It’s an easy configured design powerful enough for any customized task responding to the tasks given. The system offers a number of flexible control and monitoring capabilities such as a two-way communication and control with each lighting system component, including sensors, user interfaces and DALI lighting fixtures. The monitoring has real-time failure alerts.

The DALI MultiMaster reduces installation costs through simplified cabling infrastructure requirements. The energy-efficient performance reduces the cost as it operates through scheduled sensing and daylight harvesting functionality. The graphic interface provides a clear view of the site for control and management. Maintaining the system is not difficult at all. The system is that intelligent that it can alert the user when lamps are coming to the end of their operational life.

The control aspect allows the users to manage firmly in the controllers seat. Individual lamps or user-defined groups of lamps can be selected and controlled by floor plan or controlled directly through the overview console. Macros can be created and scheduled to occur at different times of the day or even different days of the week. The actions can be single or multiple and even reoccurring. The controller allows real time system status, highly granular control options and streamlines operation.

The monitor visualises the systems energy performance on its dashboard application that simplifies the monitoring of current status and operational performance. It can be viewed by area, enabling building/ facilities managers to understand how their lighting system is performing. It displays the performance graphs on a screen or touch panel to engage occupants and provides analysis tool to compare the consumption of different areas within the building.

Using advanced lighting control technologies the efficiency of lighting systems can be optimised to ensure the right amount of light is provided when and where it’s needed. This is the most minimal approach to unnecessary energy use, which can reduce costs and improve productivity.

Down and Dirty with Dynalite... Dynalite Breakdown

To setup Dynalite there are a few different units involved depending on the way you want your system to work to suit your needs.

Sensors, offer the ability to interact with project spaces passively, the Philips Dynalite sensor ranges uses features of motion detection, and light level detection and IR receive into one unit. These features have the ability to operate at the same time and after the area has been unoccupied for the predetermined time the lights will provide energy saving.

All timeclocks are based on the sunrise and sunset tracking with automatic daylight saving adjustments, marco and logic functions. You can get a timer clock with an interface, which works with DyNet networking to automate tasks, and trigger timed based events. It is a powerful tool in the Dynalite system that provides full automation of a large commercial project and can be programmed with events that run at specified time.

A relay controller is one of the more popular forms of lighting control, it has the most relay controllers with a great energy management and lighting control impact. This comes in two typed of configuration DIN-rail and Wall box. Dynalite supports a vast range of relay controllers with a variety of circuit numbers and sizes to work as a system or individually to suit any project requirement. The device can store over 170 presets, which send network messages through your system.

Leading Edge Dimmer controller is an ideal lighting circuit with resistive and inductive properties, including mains voltage incandescent fittings, neon and low voltage lamps with a compatible electronic transfer. There are a variety of circuit numbers and sizes for the system to fit the requirements.

The main voltage incandescent fittings that are compatible and low voltage electronic transformers are trailing edge dimmer controllers unit that supports a three phase supple making it ideal for track-lighting dimming applications. These are recommended for art galleries, museums, music halls and lecture rooms.

These controllers are well designed and equip for any projects. For a big project that requires different lighting load types a multipurpose controller is recommended to achieve the desired result. This allows you to customize the output types via different output module units.

Dynalite is a fully integrated lighting control and building automation solutions. It’s a great product that creates a sophisticated, productive, reliable and energy-efficient lighting control solutions for residential, offices, stadiums and more. It provides great functionality.

This is more than just on and off lighting control, Dynalite also allows you to create ambience and recall different lighting mood and the occasion. The system is controlled and monitors all the lights and system components from any point on the network.

System configuration is the process of assigning base parameters for all devices. This includes designation of device network addresses, arranging controller output channels and user interface devices into logical groups and setting command actions for each point control panel or a sensor. Preset entails a dynalite programmer to set the output channel levels of the controller. Function programming involves the creation of control logic and routines for automated system operation. To configure and function the system it requires a personal computer attached to the products or the DyNet network. The PC node converts the DyNet into a serial communication format suitable for connection to a PC. Specific applications are used to develop a range of intuitive software for complete configuration, operation and management. A Dynalite certified technician would suggest what would suit your needs.

When the system configuration has been completed it is possible to edit presets using a range of interface options. This enables users to make and save adjustments to lighting levels, to their liking.

Welcome to Home and Office Automation

The popularity of home automation has been increasing greatly in recent years due to much higher affordability and simplicity using smartphones and tablet connectivity. This has become popular in the more modern homes as the concept of Internet connectivity has become more influenced in our lives.

Home automation can provide security, comfort, convenience and energy efficiency. It’s a system, which controls lighting, air conditioning, appliances, and security systems. Integrates a smooth running of automation in a home or office all through the network, which is a programmed system to the clients needs. The programming can be an isolation of sensors and controls. Home automation is a sophisticated system, which has electric programmable controls for lighting, heating, cooling and entertainment devices which can be wireless and or wiring to a few isolated automated systems, such as motion sensors to control lights. These systems can benefit and improve the energy efficiency of your home and has a stylish look adding to your home.

The automated systems use an electrical signal to switch equipment usually being a light, appliance or motors. The Lights can be turned on or off on demand or based on timers or sensors. Motors can open and shut blinds, windows and vents valves and pumps. Timers or sensors trigger appliances that you want controlled in the home. Relays however are more complex switches that can activate any electrical or electronic device, this is programmed by a Dynalite Technician.

When planning your automation system you must consider how opening and closing blinds, awnings, windows and vents can assist passive heating, cooling and natural lighting. When the plan is well thought out for home automation it will assist in planned temperature profiles that can minimise the energy used in heaters and air-conditioners.

Automate lights operate only when needed and switch themselves off when rooms are vacant using motion sensors. Rather then leaving the lights on when leaving the motion sensors are used to switch on external lights when entering the home. This will help maintain an affordable energy efficiency.
