Brisbane Girls Grammar School

Brisbane Girls Grammar School call on Control Co when they need fast assistance in their multipurpose and AV rooms controlled by Dynalite lighting control.  We've been onsite recently to assist with a few rooms with ageing controllers.  They were DBC410 controllers which are a 4 relay, 4 ballast control unit, controlling fluorescent lighting with 1-10v dimmable ballasts.  On inspection we could see the deterioration of their capacitors which causes the units to constantly reset, making the lights switch on and off repeatedly.  We were able to bypass the units, giving the staff manual control while the units were replaced.  On arrival the new units were installed and programmed to achieve the required lighting control again.  Call us if you need assistance with your Dynalite system in Brisbane or Gold Coast.

Gold Coast Health Services - Robina and Southport

At the beginning of the year we started working with the maintenance staff of Robina and Southport Hospital. We have completed some major upgrades to their emergency room and other major rooms throughout the hospital.

We have updated a lot of their user interfaces with the new Antumbra keypads and DLP950 five button panel. They also were in need of an upgrade with some touch screens that needed to be upgraded and replaced. The hospital has also had some Dynalite issues that our technicians have gone onsite and found that a simple adjustment to the programming was needed.

Our first job with them was to install sixteen keypads in the emergency room and short stay as when our technician went to investigate the issue it was found to have faulty keypads. The keypads were deteriorating and difficult to press. Some of them had broken off their clips and were in need of new ones.

The hospital will require ongoing maintaining to keep their system running to the highest standard and costs down in the long run and Robina have assigned and entrusted Control Co with this job.

For the past year we have been working with Brandon's Electrical on site at QACI. They have had several Dynalite lighting issues that we have investigated and maintained for them.

One of the very first projects we had was a fault in a gallery room and other areas where lights weren't turning on. One of our senior technicians Greg attended the site and tested the touch screen to see if that was working correctly. He found that the network was operating okay. Further investigation was made and found that the controller was switched off. Greg then switched it back on and found it was failing due to many loads on the controller.

Back on site a few months later Greg found that some lights weren't turning on but found it was a keypad issue and not the controller, Greg recommended QACI to replace the keypad with a new one to prevent any further issues. QACI found it to be economic and beneficial to replace that keypad and authorised Greg to proceed.

Later in the year Greg attended a time clock issue which was found to be running too fast. This was causing lights to turn off too early. Greg went on site and reprogrammed the time clock so that it suited the requirements of QACI.

This year we have modified the controllers. This has included installing new ones , programming with the correct schedules and requirements of the facilities staff and tested before handed over to the facilities staff.

After the storms in early April QACI experienced problems with their computer server that controls their system. Greg informed them that it is an urgent issue that will require replacement as soon as possible to prevent further damage and issues. QACI once again were happy with the quote and entrusted us to install and program the system so no further damage occurs.

Our current job with QACI have been working on some lighting issues in stairways on the grounds. Greg attended the site and investigated the issue they were having with their Dynalite lighting system. It was found that QACI need a new controller in that area of the school.

Woodwark Bay Resort - Airlie Beach

Airlie Beach Woodwark Bay

For almost a year we have been working with Woodwark Bay Resort in Airlie Beach. Our senior technician flew to the beautiful Whitsunday's to install and upgrade faulty keypads and controllers that were throughout the resort. As they have an older system our technician has been working on upgrading any failing or faulty controllers and giving the user interfaces a fresh new look. We are still working on this project and upgrading the resort.
